We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior TV Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing TV applications for leading smart TV platforms such as Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV, Roku, and others. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing user experience, ensuring seamless performance, and integrating advanced features that align with our innovative OTT solutions.
TV Developer Responsibilities:
1. Develop, test, and deploy high-quality TV applications across various platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance.
2. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to implement new features and improve existing ones.
3. Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
4. Stay updated on the latest smart TV platform SDKs, frameworks, and development practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in live and test environments.
5. Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers to uphold coding standards and best practices.
6. Implement analytics, DRM, and ad integration solutions within TV applications.
7. Work closely with the QA team to identify and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in developing applications for smart TV platforms (Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV, etc.).
3. Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or other relevant programming languages.
4. Strong understanding of smart TV development frameworks like React TV, Enact, or Lightning.
5. Experience with video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and DRM technologies (Widevine, PlayReady).
6. Knowledge of RESTful APIs and WebSocket communication.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
